It actually is true to size in the waist measurments. I was concerned about the garment fitting my thighs. It fits snuggly & some thigh fat hangs out which is noticeable in jeans. Maybe a size up wouldn't show thigh fat but then be too big in the waist. Also, the slit to use the bathroom is not long enough & can only be used for #1, not #2. Besides those two things, the garment is nice.
